"If someone had told me years ago that I would build a career around fireplaces—the heart and soul of so many homes—I probably would’ve laughed. Back then, I was simply enjoying the quiet rhythm of the woods, cutting and stacking firewood as a side gig. I loved the solitude, the scent of fresh-cut timber, and the sense of connection to something elemental and timeless.

 

But life has a funny way of guiding you where you're meant to be. One day, that connection to firewood led me to my first fireplace installation. What started as curiosity quickly became fascination. Soon, I was repairing, installing, and learning everything I could about fireplaces—wood-burning, gas, electric, and everything in between. Each project offered its own challenges and discoveries, and I realized I had stumbled into more than just a trade—I had found a calling.

 

Fireplaces, I discovered, are not just fixtures; they’re gathering places. They draw families together in warmth and conversation, they frame moments of romance, and they stand quietly as witnesses to everyday life. There’s something deeply meaningful about creating or restoring that kind of space for people.

 

This profession has kept me learning—about design, craftsmanship, safety, technology, and the science of flame. It’s an eclectic mix that keeps me both grounded and inspired. Every installation is a new puzzle, every repair a chance to make something whole again, and every satisfied customer a reminder of why I fell in love with this work in the first place.
